SALTO_renovation

The former Viljandi High School (Valuoja School) was designed by architects E. Wolffeldt and A. Nürnberg in 1928. The historical building was never fully realised, however, from the start, the school was planned in dialogue with the surrounding vast green areas as well as Neoclassical Viljandi manor house, Neo-Gothic St. Paul’s church, and former Ugala Theatre thats current building is an example of Soviet modernism. In continuation to that, the new extension building is perfectly placed in East-West orientation to offer picturesque views to the pond-side, keep a discreet distance from the historic school building and ensures good natural light conditions.
